Backtagging: Absolutely.
Threadhopping: Yes, if everyone agrees.
Fourthwalling: Depends on the approach. If the person accepts that he's not just fictional and the games and movie were based on something real, I'm totally fine with that. If instead the approach is refusal to believe he's real and insisting he's fictional, that's a no.
Offensive subjects (elaborate): Decapitation, seen or talked about.

Hugging this character: Sure, but he'll be confused.
Kissing this character: He probably won't like it unless you're someone who means everything to him, like Zack or Angeal or Genesis. And even at that, he'd be super confused. Genesis might be the most likely to do it, with his theatrics, but he's also the one Sephiroth is on the worst terms with (even though Sephiroth still dearly cares for him).
Flirting with this character: Sure. He won't know what to make of it, probably, but have at it.
Fighting with this character: He's 6'7", is a master swordsman with superhuman abilities, and he has a seven-winged form with even stronger fire, light, and darkness powers. Are you sure you wanna do that?
Injuring this character (include limits and severity): Nothing without talking to me first, and some injuries I'll say No to, like broken bones and gruesome body horror and anything permanent.
Killing this character: No. Not unless I'll get a lot out of it, like a juicy hurt/comfort scene, and if he's able to come back to life. I'd still want to be consulted before trying anything.
Using telepathy/mind reading abilities on this character: Sure. He'll be mad, though.
Sephiroth also has the ability to use mind-control himself on people who have the Jenova cells (i.e., Cloud). He will not use these abilities when sane, but let me know if you want to opt-out of discussions of mind-control (if he ever talks about it; he prefers not to). Comments will be screened.
